The project involved the restoration of the balconies and exterior cladding at a 109 unit, 7 storey apartment building located in Mississauga Ontario. Truman provided a complete building assessment with budgets for various work options that enabled the owner to implement a complete building renovation over time. In 2015, the Owner was able to proceed with the major renovation that included balcony concrete repairs to 90% of the slab edges, new waterproofing membrane and coating, new aluminum railings, and re-painting the sloped metal mansard roofs. Truman obtained the required building permits, managed the tendering process and managed the construction through regular field review, project team meetings and budget control. Key to the project success was a complete understanding of building issues and client requirements, enabling a holistic repair approach, including materials selection and repair details.
