About Truman Engineering Services

Our Service Philosophy

Does your consultant provide value? Truman Engineering Services is focused on delivering extraordinary client service through a partnership of forward-thinking, modern professionals. We connect building owners, managers and investors to the vast depth of knowledge and experience in the construction and building restoration industries. Truman Engineering Services combines professional project management, business solutions, and technical competencies to immerse our clients in unique project experiences.

Engineers are responsible for public safety ® upholding Building Code, Regulatory and Business requirements. However, to the Project Manager ® these become the constraints within which the project is executed and not the objectives. Project objectives are defined by the Client and relate to Time, Cost and Quality. As Project Management Professionals and Professional Engineers, we adapt the project plan to suit the constraints and satisfaction of the Owner.

This basic shift in service philosophy, from focusing on engineering objectives to client objectives with engineering requirements as project constraints, delivers greater project satisfaction to our clients. In keeping with the current economic climate, our holistic and owner centric examines projects on an ROI basis and will improve your fiscal bottom line.

 Client-Focused, Professional Approach

How important is the reliability of safe, effective advice?

Our project approach is process and values oriented, first seeking an understanding of our client’s situation, strategic issues, processes and values. Value is created through discovery and synergy, exploring project issues and concerns with the Client and adapting them to the building design, management and construction processes.

Our role as Owner’s Agent bridges the gap between the contracting and owner worlds, between the technical and management aspects. We translate building owner issues into tangible repair requirements, and manage the construction in a way that minimizes our clients’ risk and financial exposure.

We understand the personal and often emotional aspects of building ownership and management. We look for ways to implement projects that address these core issues, drawings on not just our experience, but on the experience of the industry as a whole. Our project solutions and advice are practical, collaborative, and creative. Truman Engineering Services believes in a managed project approach, engaging all project team members to develop the project plan – the road map to success. Clear identification of project roles and responsibilities removes ambiguity, instills ownership and develops a sense of “all oars pulling in the same direction”.

How does fee ambiguity impact your project?

Truman Engineering Services assists clients achieve their project goals free of the conflicts inherent in the traditional project approach. About our name & logo

Truman Engineering Services is committed to revolutionizing project experiences through our unique philosophy and approach. We have created an icon to symbolize our commitment and determination in leading this revolution.

The surname Truman originated in Briton as population grew and specific surnames were established, typically to denote a person’s trade or position, such as Cooper, the barrel maker. The “true-ing man” was traditionally the local scribe, recording the outcomes of political, legal and social events and disputes – the “truth”. Variations of the name arose due to different local dialects, and include Tremaine, Trow, and Trews. The tools and symbols of the true-ing man were the record book, a quill (feather) and ink.
